My name is Jeff Smith (AKA Dr. Sawdust). I have been a hobby woodworker most of my adult life. Six years ago, I decided to make my hobby into a business which I called Doctor Sawdust Workshop, LLC. I love working on the business every day.
I’ve been working with lots of different wood species and item types! From tables to candle holders, jewelry and music boxes to wine racks, and even custom molding. There’s nothing I can’t make with a beautiful piece of wood. I’m also a member of the Architectural Woodworking Institute, which helps me keep up to date on what’s new in woodworking! I also attend woodworking shows and seminars whenever I can. I can always learn something new.
I focus on quality, service, and dependability, and I’ve been able to create woodwork projects for people all over the Northern Virginia and Washington DC markets since 2005.

Mr. Jeff (Woodworker) installed an window sill extension to all of my small window sills at my beautiful ranch style home. So now it serves as the perfect sill extender and much more. Sometimes in life you make a quick decision that ends up being spectacular. Several months ago on a networking event hosted by my Alma Mater, RIT, I had the privilege of meeting Jeff Smith.
